Coaches Team Wins Again…

Coaches Team poses for a photo

For the third straight year, the Coaches All-Star Team has dominated the B-Team, JV and Varsity Basketball teams. This year the Coaches team, led by Coaches Berg and Kaufman brought back alumni players, as well as invited some of the parents and Varsity Cheerleaders to play. Returning to the Court for Coaches was Corey Ford, Bruce Newman and Blake Smith. Parents included Mr. Chavez, Mr. Worrall, Mr. Schmitt, Mr. Glenn and Mr. Willis. Cheerleaders, Kassidy Howard, Laura Gruninger, Madison Gardener and Alex Mckenna also joined Coach Poulson and Jackson and trainer Jenna Levy on the coaches team.
The Coaches jumped out to a 27-7 lead over the B-Team and never looked back as alumni player Corey Ford put on a show from long range. The final score was Coaches 92 Cougars 74. “I think they are scared of us,” said Coach Berg. “We have won this game three straight years.” Ford led the scoring with 32 points, while Berg had 10 points and Kaufman had 13.
Check out some highlights below.
